Arraigo Familiar
CONTINUE DOWNThe Arraigo Familiar is a type of temporary residence authorization granted to foreigners who have family ties with Spanish citizens or legal residents in Spain. This temporary residence authorization authorizes the beneficiary to remain in the country for a period of one year and may reside and work legally in Spain as an employee or self-employed person.
Requirements
- Not to be a citizen of a State of the European Union, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, or a family member of citizens of these countries to which the Union citizen regime is applicable.
- Not have a criminal record in Spain and in their previous countries of residence for offenses existing in the Spanish system.
- Not to be forbidden to enter Spain and not to appear as rejectable in the territorial space of countries with which Spain has signed an agreement in such sense.
- Not to be, if applicable, within the period of commitment not to return to Spain that the foreigner has assumed when returning voluntarily to his/her country of origin.
In addition, you must be in one of the following situations:
- Be the father, mother or legal guardian of a Spanish minor and have responsibility and cohabitation with the minor or be up to date with parental-filial obligations.
- Provide support to a Spanish person with a disability in the exercise of his or her legal capacity and live with him or her.
- To be the spouse or registered partner of a Spanish person, to have ascendants over 65 years old or under 65 years old in charge, to have descendants under 21 years old or over 21 years old in charge of a Spanish person or of his/her spouse or registered partner.
- In these 3 previous cases, the duration of the residence and work permit will be 5 years.
- Be the child of a father or mother who was originally Spanish.
