TheTrainingIt is a temporary residence permit for exceptional circumstances which may be granted to foreign citizens who are in Spain and who have remained in Spain for two years, allowing for the obtaining of an authorization for the conduct of a training, making it conditional on the obtaining of a residence and work permit to be exceeded and on the presentation of a contract of employment.

Accreditation of enrolment

The applicant shall, within 3 months of notification of the decision to grant the authorisation, provide accreditation of the registration. In cases where the registration is subject to specific registration periods, it must submit proof of registration to the Aliens Office within a maximum period of 3 months from the end of that period.

The requirements are as follows:

Not to be a citizen of a State of the European Union, of the European Economic Area or of Switzerland, or a family member of citizens of these countries to whom the system of Union citizenship applies.

It has no criminal record in Spain and its country of origin or in the country or countries in which it has resided for the last five years.

Not to be prohibited from entering Spain and not to appear as repulsible in the territorial area of countries with which Spain has signed an agreement to that effect.

Where appropriate, it is not within the period of commitment not to return to Spain that the alien has assumed when returning voluntarily to his country of origin.

Having remained in Spain on a continuing basis for at least two years prior to the application for authorisation. Continued permanence is understood if absences have not exceeded 90 days in the last two years.

Commit to a training:

regulated for employment or to obtain a certificate of professionalism, or a training leading to the obtaining of the certification of technical aptitude or professional qualification necessary for the exercise of a specific occupation or a promotion by the Public Employment Services and oriented to the performance of occupations included in the Catalogue referred to in Article 65.1 (Catalogue of occupations with difficult coverage, you can consult it by clicking here).

or, in the field of continuing training of universities, to undertake to carry out courses for the extension or updating of training or professional skills and other courses of continuing training.

For this purpose, registration must have been made within three months of notification of the decision to grant the residence permit.

The corresponding fee has been paid for the procedure

It is important to mention that the temporary residence permit may be renewed once for a further period of 12 months, where the duration of the training exceeds 12 months or the validity of the first authorisation granted. After completing the training and obtaining the corresponding residence and work permit, the applicant may work legally in Spain for the period in which his or her authorisation is valid.

Arraigo's modification for training?

Once you have completed the training and obtained the degree, you will be able to apply for a residence and employment authorisation, provided that you have an offer of employment that guarantees a wage equal to at least the minimum wage.

It is important to note that the application for the Residence and Work Authorisation by Ahena Account must be made during the validity of your arraigo authorization for training. If granted, you will receive a residence and work permit for two years.
